Quebec's educational system is unique. On one hand, students obtain their Quebec High School Diploma after only finishing the 11th grade instead of 12 years in the United States. On the other hand, they do two years of college (CEGEP) before integrating the University. Hence, the Dual Diploma program has been shaped to enable Quebec students to pursue two distinct high school diplomas within the 11 years timeframe and directly integrate American colleges/universities without having to go through CEGEP.
In fact, the students will actively be studying in two schools concurrently: one in their home country (Quebec) in person, and the other virtually through the American Academy of Montreal. This enables Quebec students to acquire their fully certified American high school diploma in 11 years (on top of the Quebec High School Diploma), which has the same value as one obtained at an on-site course in the United States, without having to travel to the USA, incurring high fees, or obtaining visas.

Homologation
Through its partner in the United States, the AAM program and courses are completely homologated and all of the AAM students elligible to graduate with a Dual Diploma. The program and the courses are completely homologated by the US Department of Education.
The syllabi follow the requirements of Florida’s High Schools, and they are accredited by “advancED SACS”. Furthermore all the teachers within the Academy are certified by the Florida Education Department and other US states, which gives the Dual Diploma equal value to any other US high school diploma where students are in-person in the USA.
Furthermore, the dual diploma is recognized in all US territories, providing the possibility of applying to any American university or college without the need to sit a TOEFL exam, (only SAT/ACT will be required) and therefore it is recognized, also, in the rest of the world.
