NCAA CORE COURSES

The American Academy of Montreal, through its Unites States academic partner, offers an array of courses that are NCAA approved as core-courses and that can help Quebec student-athletes to both meet NCAA eligibility requirements and obtain their NCAA Dual Diploma.

Division I 

Division I needs registration through the NCAA eligibility center. The GPA requirement is 2.3 or above in the core classes with passes in at least five courses and a pass on the SAT (sliding scale). Students must earn 16 NCAA-approved core-course credits in the following areas.

  • 4 credits English/Native Language

  • 3 credits Math (Algebra I or higher)

  • 2 credits Science

  • 1 credit Additional (English/native language, math or science)

  • 2 credits Social Science

  • 4 credits Additional courses (Any area listed to the left, world language or non-doctrinal religion/philosophy)
